Founding members of The Hazchem Network

As well as dedicated ADR transport services, Bowker are also founding members and the largest inputter into The Hazchem Network, the only pallet network dedicated to chemicals. Bowker’s membership allows for hazardous consignments to be distributed across the UK with maximum efficiency. Bowker are responsible for Hazchem's Blackburn's pallet collection and deliveries.

Our Blackburn heritage

William Henry Bowker established the business back in 1919 in Blackburn. He used his war gratuity of £75 to buy his first vehicle. He began making local deliveries in Lancashire earning a reputation for a pioneering spirit and an innovative approach to the industry’s needs. It wasn't long before he'd assembled one of the largest fleets in the area.
