Bowker Hosts UKWA’s Clare Bottle for Milestone Warehouse Visit

Bowker was thrilled to welcome United Kingdom Warehousing Association’s (UKWA) CEO Clare Bottle to their Thorne, Doncaster distribution centre, marking her 75th warehouse visit out of a planned 80. The event was a part of Clare’s 80 warehouse visits across the UK to mark the 80^th anniversary of the UKWA.

The occasion brought together Bowker’s key partners, including Thomas Hardie Commercials Ltd alongside some of Bowker’s valued customers.

The visit included Neil and Will Bowker, sharing a presentation highlighting the company’s recent history and its commitment to sustainability.

Additionally, the guests received a tour of Bowker’s 165,000 sq. ft. warehouse and a display of their diverse fleet, from the iconic 1933 Leyland Beaver to the latest innovative vehicles, the electric rigid and Volvo Aero.

As part of the day, Bowker presented a £1,000 cheque to Emma and Zach from Lindsey Lodge Hospice, the company’s chosen local charity, in recognition of the Thorne team’s fundraising efforts. Lindsey Lodge provides vital palliative care services to those with life-limiting conditions.
